At Obuhi (referred to as “Obuhi,” “us” or “we”), we recognize that the privacy of persons using our Sites and Services (each, a “User”) is important. This Policy discloses the privacy practices for the Obuhi’s Websites and Mobile Applications (collectively, the “Sites”), as well as related services Obuhi may offer to the User (collectively referred to as the “Services”). This Policy also covers how personal and other information that Obuhi receives or collects about the User is treated. Please read the information below to learn the following regarding the User’s use of this Site.

The User acknowledges that this Privacy Policy is designed to be read in conjunction with the Sites Terms of Service, which is available at https://obuhi.com/termsAndConditions, and that by accessing or using the Sites, you agree to be bound by the Site’s Terms, as well as this Policy.

Obuhi reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time. Obuhi will notify the User about significant changes in the way Obuhi treats personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in the User’s account, by placing a prominent notice on our Sites, and by updating any privacy information on this page. The User’s continued use of the Sites and/ or Services available through this Sites after such modifications will constitute the User’s (a) acknowledgment of the modified Policy; and (b) the User’s agreement to abide and be bound by that Policy.

For the purposes of this Policy, Personal Data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person; an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.

By using or availing of the Sites and/or Services, the User agrees to the collection and processing of his/her Personal Data by Obuhi as set forth in this Policy.

  1. Types of Information Obuhi Collects

    Obuhi collects the User’s Personal Data when he/she is using the Sites and Services, including when the User completes our online sign-up form, when the User corresponds with Obuhi by phone, e-mail or otherwise and/or when the User reports an issue with our Sites or Services. The Personal Data which the User provides to Obuhi includes:

    • Personal Data required to sign-up to the Sites and to access the Services, including but not limited to the User’s name, location, email address, mobile phone number and a password
    • The User’s profile picture
    • Biographical details, including the User’s education and work history, experience, skills, endorsements and recommendations, name of Enterprise, type of industry, website details etc
    • Correspondence the User address’s to Obuhi
    • Logs of the User’s visits to the Sites, and the Services which the User accesses
    • The User’s participation in any Obuhi surveys - this data may be used for purposes of analytics and improvement of our Services
    • Data we may require when the User reports an issue with the Sites or the Services and/or
    • Location information when the User logs in
  2. How Obuhi Collects the User’s Data

    Subject to relevant laws, we collect information such as: download errors, browser type and version, the User’s IP address, data on the User’s Site visits, profiles the User viewed or searched for, duration of Site visits. Obuhi may collect this information using technologies such as cookies.

  3. How Obuhi Retains the User’s Data:

    We securely store your data on a cloud service provider. We will keep the User’s Project Data for a period of 30 days after the completion of the project. We will delete the User’s personal data once the user closes his/her Obuhi account

    For purposes of facilitating the interactive features of Obuhi’s Sites; Performance of contractual obligations and/or with the User’s consent.
    For purposes of keeping Obuhi’s Sites safe and secure; Our legitimate interest and/or the exercise or defense of legal claims and/or compliance with our legal obligations.
    For purposes of tailoring the advertising on Obuhi’s Sites to the User’s needs. Our legitimate interest and/or with the User’s consent.

  5. How Obuhi Shares Information:

    When the User signs up, certain information will be available on the User’s public profile, and other information may require viewers to be Users. The User has the discretion to adjust the User’s profile settings to restrict public access to the User’s information or limit User access.

    We work with third parties who may be given access to the User’s Personal Data, including but not limited to :

    • Third parties advertising on the Sites;
    • Third parties who advertise the Services on their websites;
    • Service providers for the Sites – including technical or analytics providers.

    Obuhi will send the User information about the Services that Obuhi’s thinks the User may like or find useful, as well as those of Obuhi’s partner companies.

  7. Corporate Restructuring:

    In the event that Obuhi sells or buys businesses or assets, Obuhi may disclose the User’s Personal Data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.

  8. Legal disclosures:

    Obuhi may be required to disclose information about the User if required by law, or if Obuhi has a good faith belief that disclosure is reasonably necessary to meet its legal obligations in any jurisdiction.

  9. How Obuhi Monitors the User’s Messages:

    Obuhi may scan or analyze messages the User’s exchanges with other Users on the Sites for the purposes of improving Services only.

  10. The User’s Rights with respect to the User’s Personal Data:

    • Right to erasure and rectification: The User has the right to request the deletion of Personal Data or the correction of inaccurate personal data under certain conditions. Note that Obuhi may retain certain Personal Data, either when required by law, or when legally authorized to do so.
    • Right to object to processing: The User has the right to object to the processing of his/her Personal Data for the purpose of direct marketing or if based on our legitimate interest.
