Bassam Salem has always been an entrepreneur at heart, he retired as Head of Citibank’s Private Bank business in Asia and he ran large private banking businesses for 37 years. He set up Obuhi whose mission is to help freelancers, contract or part time workers find jobs that meet their needs for flexibility, freedom and higher incomes.

Neelam is a highly experienced, mature and seasoned professional with demonstrated results in client engagement, people management, financial and internal stakeholder management. She has over 20 years of work experience with reputed organisations like Citibank NA, and Barclays Bank PLC. She has a keen interest in emerging technologies and oversees Obuhi’s Operations and Finance functions.

Sandeep has 17 years of experience in building, managing and growing products, services and businesses for the Financial services, B2C and B2B e-commerce industries. He brings end-to-end experience in technology and business roles ranging from product management, user research and analytics, managing and scaling applications in the cloud, software backend development, consulting and research.

Originally from Sri Lanka and Ghana, was educated in the UK (BSC Econ from UCL and MSc Econ from SOAS, both London University) and then spent over 35 years in the financial sector. She has worked in London, Paris, Geneva. Dubai and Singapore. She is responsible for the finances and administrative side of Obuhi.

Divya has worked for technology and financial services brands including AXA, SunGard and ICICI Bank over an 18-year career. In recent years, she has built and expanded marketing capabilities for early-stage startups and has been responsible for campaigns that have delivered strong results aligned with business goals.

Kannan has over 38 years of IT experience in banking industry, and has a track record of high achievement in leading business strategy and productive development in the top tier global banks such as Citi, UBS, and Julius Baer. His last position was the head of business projects and solutions at Julius Baer Asia.

Rohit is a product, design & tech enthusiast, an experienced frontend developer and had worked on projects ranging from web applications, e-learning site, mobile apps, and business analytics intelligence. He built a design agency which served brands like Hyperloop One, Uber, National Geographic, Saif Partners and Inc42.

Swati has expertise in entire life cycle of recruitment including effective sourcing and mapping of key talent from the industry. She has in delivered on staffing projects while maintaining excellent relationships with clients and key stake holders. She has broad experience in all aspects of recruitment starting from strategic planning to sourcing to selection to offer to on-boarding and so on.
